Time from Shinjuku Station: ~2.5 hours
Peak Height: 2031m Nearest train station: Enzan station Cost: 1500¥-3200¥ (train, one way) + 650¥ (bus, runs only between April-October) or ~6000¥ (taxi) Hiking hours: 2 hours-- hut -- 2 hours --peak-- 3.5 hours--bus stop Key Kanji: 乾徳山 (kentokusan), 塩山駅 (enzan station) Summary: nice little challenging sections (read: not for the faint of heart or those scared of heights) to keep things interesting, breathtaking views of Fuji, but overall a fairly easy-going hike. Although it is a possible day trip, I find this is more worthwhile as a relaxed two day hike- both because of cost and because of the time it takes to get there |
